Nigerian Rapper Weird MC Escapes Death: How A Military Officer Almost Killed Her With A Knife

Nigerian female rapper Adesola Adesimbo Idowu popularly called Weird MC is thanking God to be alive today after she recently escaped death from an angry military officer who threatened to kill her.

According to her, she spotted the military officer driving with his family on Lagos Ibadan Expressway and cautioned him to watch out because of his safety and that of his family.

And to her surprise, the military officer stopped, brought out a knife and threatened to kill her.

Google Unveils Talking Shoes

Movements, the shoe can actually talk to the person wearing them.

The device made its debut late last week during the South by Southwest Festival in Austin, Texas.

Aman Govil, lead of the advertising arts team, told ABC News: ‘The talking shoe is an experiment in how you can use connected objects to tell stories on the Web today.’

The shoe utilizes Bluetooth technology to connect itself to the internet, and can provide location and directions using Google’s mapping app.

The computer also enables the shoe to react based on the wearer’s movements, or lack thereof.

If you’re sitting on a park bench, the shoe may inform you: ‘This is super boring.’

It’s a part of the Art Copy & Code project, which has been designed to deliver a new frontier of marketing and advertising.

Govil told ABC: ‘If you put what the shoe knows through an algorithmic logic engine, it can translate it into copy.

‘Now if you give that copy to an interesting copy writer, you could give the shoe personality. One shoe could be the trash-talking shoe.’

The possibilities are endless, but the shoes can be worn by favorite athletes and let their Twitter followers know how fast they’re going during a particular sporting event, for example.

But Google claims that it has no plans yet to develop the fancy footwear into a shoe empire.

Google told ABC: ‘We’re not getting into the shoe business. We are in the social network and advertising business.’

And Google is not the first company to get involved in the footwear industry.

In January, Apple announced that it was developing an athletic shoe that would let its owner know when its time to buy a new pair.

The alert could come in the form of a flashing light or beep but would also incorporate a wireless interface, presumably connecting to an iPhone or iPad.

Pregnant British mum Karen McMartin was shocked to see the face of her baby on her pregnant belly. It looked like the baby was trying to break out of her tummy. Karen discovered the print on her tummy when she was just 25-weeks pregnant. Karen explained to The Sun how she discovered it.

“I was in the staff room on a break. We were actually having a laugh at my belly button sticking out and checking for baby movement. Then Karen who owns the salon came in and said, ‘Oh my God, I can see a face.’ She took a picture and we’ve been showing it to folk ever since.”

Akala Dares Ajimobi On L.G Election in Oyo Akala Dares Ajimobi On Oyo L.G Election

Former Gov.of Oyo  State Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala  yesterday in Ibadan challenged Gov. Abiola Ajimobi-led administration in the state to conduct council poll as a test of the government’s popularity in the state.

Akala, who was a special guest at the Ibadan Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) forum said the PDP would win at least two-thirds of the councils should the poll be conducted.

“The Ajimobi-led administration has refused to conduct local government polls two years into their administration.

“If they are bold. I repeat, if they are bold, they should conduct the council poll to test their popularity.

“I am very sure that the PDP will win at least two-third of the local government councils in the state,” he said.

He said the present government in the state had instilled pains on the people through its demolition exercise, adding that the PDP administration would never do such.

The former governor, who said the Oyo people were waiting for the PDP in 2015, said all grievances within the party would be resolved before the next meeting.

Former ministers, Prof. Taoheed Adedoja, and Chief Wole Oyelese in their messages urged members of the party to join hands in building the party, adding that the government in the state would return to PDP in 2O15.

Oyelese said that insincerity within the party should be eschewed while a level playing ground be embraced to give all a sense of belonging.

Alhaji Yekini Adeojo, former PDP National Deputy Chairman, said the party would only thrive when unity existed within it.

Mr Yinka Taiwo, the Oyo PDP Chairman, urged members to disregard the factional meeting held at Yemetu in Ibadan, adding that there was no faction in the Oyo PDP.

“Those who organised the factional meeting are our brothers and sisters. There is only one PDP and here it is.

“We’ve been reaching out to them and all will be resolved very soon,” Taiwo said.

Chief Olayiwola Olakojo, former Secretary to Oyo State Government, attributed the internal wranglings in the PDP to the members enlightenment on their rights.

WWE Legend Paul Bearer Dies At 58

Famous WWE manager Paul Bearer, the ‘scary’ man who for many years helped introduce The Undertaker died on Tuesday, March 5, 2012.

The World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) released a statement saying:

‘WWE is saddened to learn of the passing of William Moody, aka Paul Bearer.

Moody made his WWE debut in 1991 as the manager of The Undertaker and went on to become a memorable part of WWE over the course of the next 20 years. Our deepest condolences go out to Moody’s family, friends and fans’

Bearer who real name is Bill Moody joined the WWE in 1990. He played the role of a funeral director and managed famous wrestlers including The Undertaker, Kane, Rick Rude, Vader and Mankind.

Kris Jenner – who recently hit back at allegations she ‘exploits’ her children – allegedly ‘flipped out’ and confronted her 32-year-old daughter after she recently hinted that she is ready to become a more private person and retire from her E! series ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians‘ once she welcomes her first child with boyfriend Kanye West in July.

A source told the National Enquirer magazine: ‘After hearing that Kim dissed the family empire in a magazine interview, Kris flipped out and called a summit at her office.’

The 57-year-old mother-of-six, who manages all of her children, also reportedly tried to convince rapper Kanye, 35, to let her oversee his career recently but he politely declined.

An insider told RadarOnline: ‘Kris has wanted to manage someone of Kanye’s stature and talent for a very long time. She feels that it could open even bigger doors for her career, and she is always looking to expand her client base.

‘Kris has told Kanye that she would love to be his manager, even though he has a team in place. She said she would be willing to start out representing him in new endorsements and his personal life as it pertains to the reality shows. Kris reps Khloe’s hubby, Lamar Odom in non-basketball matters. Kanye politely declined though as he is extremely happy with his current manager, agent, etc.’

Kris earns 10 per cent of her all her family’s pay cheques and thinks they are happier when she pushes them to work harder but insists she has never exploited them.
