OJB thanks Governor Rotimi Amaechi for the $100, 000 donation…

I'm sure by now you all have heard that Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi donated $100, 000 to music producer, OJB Jezreel, who is down with a kidney ailment.

The money was transferred to OJB's account on Friday July 5th. Lagos State governor, Raji Fashola was also in touch with OJB's family and facilitated the stages of dialysis OJB is undergoing at LASUTH. The ailing pioneer music producer has thanked Governor Amaechi for his generosity.

"I really thank God for Governor Amechi's kind heart. All I can say is that God will fight his battles as he saved my life. I also thank all Nigerians from all works of life who heeded my appeal for funds to go for my kidney transplant. God bless everyone.

Pastor and Choir Mistress Doing "Things" After Night Vigil…

Pastor and Choir Mistress Doing "Things" After Night Vigil…

On many occasions, AMFRESHENT has observed where angry husbands stormed church premises at odd hours during the usual "night vigil" to drag their wives home, and attack anyone who tried to intervene.

Sometimes its due to information they receive about "things" like what is happening here...
When people who are wearing 'holy' white garment choose to sort themselves out in a corner around the church premises, then you know that moral values are really down in our society. How sad!

Can't these secret lovers at least get a room for themselves for whatever?

"God told me not to celebrate my 50th birthday' - TB Joshua explains why he didn't celebrate...

The founder of Synagogue Church of All Nations turned 50 on June 12th and shunned all forms of celebration put together by his church members, choosing instead to celebrate by communicating with God at the 'mountains'. He explains why:

"There was a divine message to me to shun all activities on my 50th. I don't act if I don't get the call. There's a need to keep one's life in prayer. What I need now is more commitment and time with God and not celebrating. I will only celebrate when I'm 60. That is when I will forget about 50. Even the little activity put together by my church members, they know they were not celebrating Mr T.B Joshua rather Prophet T.B Joshua and it is their divine duty to do so.

50Cent sends abusive text messages to his 15 year-old son (read texts)

Radar Online today published a series of text message which they claim is a text exchange between rapper 50cent and his 15 year old son, Marquise Jackson. This heated exchange between father and son apparently happened before 50cent was arrested last week for allegedly attacking his baby mama.
The abusive exchange, which began at 10.59 p.m and lasted for more than an hour according to RO, started after Marquis failed to open the door when 50cent came to see him. The rapper called his son 'f*cking stupid', a 'sh*t head' a 'motherf*cker.' and said said he no longer had a son. Radar claim they verified the texts originated from a cell phone registered to G Unit Touring, the record label created and owned by 50 Cent. Read the transcript of the unfiltered and raw exchange after the cut...

Happy Birthday To OJB Jezreel + How Governor Amaechi Donated 15Million Naira Needed To Save His Life…

Happy Birthday To OJB Jezreel + How Governor Amaechi Donated 15Million Naira Needed To Save His Life…

Since the beginning of the #Save OJB Jezreel campaign, there has been lots of controversies surrounding ‘Who and Who’ among celebrities has donated to save the talented music producer, who I’m told has barely 8 weeks to live if treatment doesn’t commence immediately. Fan’s and pundits across the social media have maligned many celebrities and sent out trolls, condemning his colleagues, some of whom have already made undisclosed donations. Apparently, all the negative social media noise wasn’t very effective as one week after the campaign was launched, just about half of the needed $100,000 was raised.

Yesterday, I learnt that Rivers state Governor Rotimi Amaechi donated the entire sum, $100,000 dollars but had no means to verify. This was because first, I didn’t know where the news emanated, and the head of the committee Nomoreloss denied the claim. I then came across a statement on another blog by a renown and credible journalist Femi Davies who I happen to know personally. I placed a call to him, and he confirmed, and explained how the $100,000 donation by Governor Amaechi came about. Before going into the details, read his press release below:

Dear All,
Few hours after we made public the fact that the Gov.of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi approved the 100K USD for OJB’s health issue,It came to me as a rude shock that a young man who seems to have no interest of OJB @ heart went viral to debunk the story.

It is funny how our so called Entertainers exhibit their shallow mindedness publicly, the information confirming the donation was laced with my name, that of Jazzman Olofin and even the Political Editor of Thisday Newspaper, Wale Olaleye. One would av expected Mr. Nomoreloss will seek knowledge on the matter and make confirmations b4 rushing to issue any statement.

A reasonable person will not do anything to soil the name of a Governor who is only trying to help when the immediate constituency of OJB failed, they were busy building hypes, arranging concerts and other time wasting stuffs. While they were busy denying the donation,OJB was undergoing dialysis !

I am not interested in becoming any fund raising or burial committee chairman, my interest just like many Nigerians is to knock the right doors and get results which God made possible with the kindness of Gov Amaechi, who has promised that the money will be available latest Friday.

Let us exercise caution in our public communications all in the name of Hype and Showbiz….
I rest my case.

Good evening all, thanks for ur time
. Femi Davies- MetroNews

Sometime last week, singer Jazzman Olofin, on seeing that many celebrities were dragging their feet, and people were more interested in apportioning blame than making donations, decided on his own to take a step further and contact people who might be able to reach easily, well meaning, affluent Nigerians or government officials. He went to Femi Davies and appealed to him to intervene in the #SaveOJBCampaign. Before then, Femi Davies had never met OJB personally or spokewith him before. He had just like many well meaning Nigerians joined in the campaign andhoped that his colleagues would raise the money in good time.

Mr Davies reasoned with Jazzman, that it will be a shame, to watch and wait for donations that may never come, and (God Forbid) be quick to say ‘he WAS such a great producer,’ when something could have been done earlierto salvage the situation. He then spoke to Mr Wale Olaleye, the political editor of Thisday on the matter, who in turn promised to speak with Governor Amaechi pronto. On reaching the governor, Mr Olaleye asked for an official letter from the OJB camp. At this point, Mr Davies told Jazzman to get a letter written by OJB himself and spoke to him for the first time. He then instructed Jazzman to take it to Mr Wale Olaleye somewhere in Magodo. This was around Thursday last week.

Although Governor Amaechi had shown interest to help after been contacted by Mr Olaleye, it wasn’t until he came to Lagos for Governor Fashola’s birthday last weekend however, that the matter was concluded. He approved the letter, and promised that the money will be made available latest by Friday this week due to official protocol.

Since then, Mr Wale Olaleye and Mr Femi Davies have followed up on the matter to make sure the money is released promptly, without ‘hiccups’. The Governor also reassured them on several occasions since leaving Lagos that the money will be released.

Yesterday 3rd of July, 2013, Mr Davies decided to do a blackberry broadcast to inform the general public on the development which initially was to be a hushed donation. He did this particularly to ensure transparency, knowing fully well that once the matter reachedthe public’s ears, no one would have the effrontery to tamper with the money.

So people, RN can confirm to you that Governor Rotimi Amaechi did donate a $100,000 to OJB and the money will be made available anytime from now, as the governor was informed about the urgency of the situation. Also today is OJB’s birthday. Please lets take a minute or two to say a prayer for himbecause in the end, its not just about the money, but God’s mercy-to see him through.

Also, big thanks to Governor Amaechi and everyone who have taken it upon themselves one way or the other to make sure this music maestro lives…particularly Jazzman Olofin, whom I’m told (by close family sources) has been up and about, silently reaching out to various quarters to help to save Jigga’s life.

SEE Nigeria's First Blind Comedian...

SEE Nigeria's First Blind Comedian...

It does not take much to recognise talent. Abegnego Jacob, a 13-year-old Basic Four pupil of the Pacelli School for the Blind in Surulere, Lagos, is a budding talent. While representing his school at a charity performance organised in honour of Tunde Alabi-Hundeyin (CEO of Dudu Productions) who turned 60 a few weeks ago, he unveiled an aspect of him that gives credence to the saying that, ‘some people can see without their eyes’.
Called up to the stage by Yemi Sodimu, the host at the event, the audience obviously never expected more from this child performer. But the moment he got hold of the microphone, he
started reeling out jokes, most of them original, in a manner that had several artistes present bewildered.
Taking turns, he engaged Gbenga Adeyinka and Segun Arinze in a comic session that only confirmed that he is not new to the game. For instance, when he was alerted on the stage that Segun Arinze was approaching the podium to meet him, he mimicked his (Segun’s) deep baritone, portraying the character that earned Arinze his nickname, Black Arrow, in home videos.
Abednego is not yet a professional, but for an amateur he shows a lot of prospects. “I started this in 2008. I have friends in school and we would all sit together telling jokes. But each time I spoke, they would all laugh and from then on, they started asking me to join comedy since I could make people laugh. At first, I did not take it seriously until December 10, 2008, when I got the chance to perform on a real stage. That first experience was what opened me to the possibilities I have in me. I did it very well”.
Since he cannot physically see his audience, one would be tempted to wonder if Abednego knows what stage fright is. “I do not feel frightened. That is because what I want to say flows in me. It just runs in me and I say it out. The good thing is that I study my environment to know what to say; I listen to the radio and watch television too. So my ears help me to pick the things going on. Even at shows, I listen to pick comments I could create jokes from”.
While waiting to break into the big league, Abednego says he is contented with the several accolades that come his way whenever he performs. “I have not really started making money but I believe my time is coming. A few days ago, I took part in a comedy show, where they brought other upcoming comedians. At the end of that event, I was chosen as the ‘Best Comedian of the Year’. I have also been honoured at many other events. The truth is that when I perform, people see the potentials and encourage me to aspire to the top; that is exactly what I am doing”.
Getting to the top for him would, however, mean completing his studies first because according to him, that is one task his parents have assigned to him in order to pursue his talent in the creative industry. “Honestly, I thank God for my parents. They have been very supportive but they are worried about my education. Despite their encouragement, they want me to finish my schooling first. Whenever I am with them, they tell me about education and they need for me to have it completed”.
Another unique aspect of Abednego is his versatility in other area of art. “I do not do only comedy; I also sing and I do a little ‘emcee’. Sometimes, I try my hands on DJ jobs too. But ultimately, I want to be a producer. I know I would be happy producing and doing my comedy sketches in future”.
At most shows where Abednego has featured, he quickly opts to do ‘Limpopo’, the popular song by KC. Does that mean KC is his best music artiste? “I just love his song. But I love an array of other artistes too like Davido and Sheyi Shay; but my best rapper is Vector the Viper”.
Of course, he has a word of advice for visually-impaired children like him who believe they have something the world needs. “If you have something in you to showcase do not hide, come out and do it. Opportunity comes only to those willing to grab it”.
Abednego is right about opportunity coming to those willing to grab it. At the event, he was promised a voice-over contract by Dudu Productions’ boss in his next television commercials.

"I work hard & I can enjoy my money" Wizkid defends buying N15m car...

Wizkid replaced his N15million Porsche Panamera car with a brand new one less than two weeks after crashing it in an accident. Some people criticized him for it but the music star says he works hard and can spend his money any way he wants to.

He tells Encomium magazine:

"I needed to get another one because after the accident, I didn't have a car and I have to move around. I started taking cabs before I decided to buy this new car to move around. It is needed for work. And I don't think there's anything wrong in splashing millions on a car. If someone works hard and decides to spend on something that he thinks is good for him, why not? In fact, I don't think there's need to justify whether its is wrong or not. I work hard and I will enjoy my money"

SEE How This Man Difused This Bomb On A Suicide Bomber [MUST LOOK]

A member of the Afghan bomb disposal unit approaches a suicide attacker after his vest was defused in Jalalabad province on Sunday.
 Not this time.
An Afghan bomb technician played peacemaker Sunday, donning a heavily armored suit to diffuse a would-be suicide bomber's vest. The risky maneuver, gone Hollywood in the Oscar-winning drama "The Hurt Locker," required a deft touch — and a willingness to go face-to-face with powerful explosives.

Sunday's bomber in Jalalabad attempted to detonate his device before being apprehended and hog-tied. Then, the Afghan soldier, clad in a padded suit topped with a large helmet, approached the subdued terrorist and disabled the device. A photo after the all-clear was given shows the would-be bomber, clad in brown pants and shirt, lying on the ground next to a rifle and three grenades. A red wire is shown threaded through the vest, its three pouches filled with explosives.

Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers approach the would-be suicide attacker.
The officers took the man into custody and drove him away in the back of a pickup truck.
The successful disposal was a positive end to what has been a deadly year in the volatile country. Nearly 300 Afghan soldiers were killed in a monthlong period, while 753 militants and 180 civilians were killed over the course of the same four-week stretch. Through the end of May, 807 Afghan security force members had been killed since Jan. 1. An additional 365 civilians and 63 coalition troops were killed as well. The Afghan deaths were more than double the number from the same period last year and come as coalition troops hand over all responsibility for combat operations. Coalition troops are winding down what has been nearly 12 years of war and will leave the country next year.

Soldiers took the man into custody and placed him into the back of a pickup truck before hauling him off.
Even Sunday, more deaths were reported. In the Baghlan province in the country's north, a district police commander and three of his men were killed when a roadside bomb hit their vehicle.

See What Happened Before Iyanya Lost Yvonne Nelson's Drug And Dumped Her…

Contrary to the impression that fast-rising singer, Iyanya, was trying to create that he has no love feelings for Ghanian/Nollywood actress, Yvonne Nelson, fresh facts have shown that he was madly in love with her, so much that he tattooed the lady's initials on his wrist.

Probably this was why he said during a freestyle session recently that "Yvonne Nelson, I lost your medicine" as it appeared what happened to him was just lust, love not. See the photos below:..
